John Bingaman leads investment and portfolio management activities for Lone Creek Holdings (www.lonecreek.com), a private investment holding company with approximately $100 million of assets under management. John served in executive leadership roles at SambaSafety (www.sambasafety.com), a leading Albuquerque based provider of driver risk management software and data to enterprise fleets and the insurance industry, from 2011 through 2016, including as Interim CEO during 2012 and as Executive Chairman throughout that period. John led SambaSafety through a period of rapid growth, growing the employee base from approximately 25 to 150 and completing a successful 2016 sale to a private equity group, in one of the largest technology “exits” in New Mexico business history. John currently serves as Chairman of the Board of CAI Software (www.caisoft.com), a leading enterprise resource planning software company serving selected manufacturing verticals, based in Smithfield, RI.
Prior to founding Lone Creek's predecessor entity, John was with Quadrangle Group LLC, a private investment firm based in New York City. While at Quadrangle Group, John was involved in numerous transactions in various sectors of media, communications, and business services. Prior to joining Quadrangle, John was with Salomon Smith Barney.
John earned a B.A. magna cum laude in economics from Harvard College. John resides with his family in Santa Fe, New Mexico. John seeks to be an active member of the community, and currently serves on the board of directors of El Rancho de las Golondrinas, New Mexico’s premier living history museum.
