Fred Bromberg MD, FACP, FACMQ
Dr. Bromberg is an experienced, IT savvy physician executive with a record of accomplishment in medical group, PHO, IPA and health system executive leadership. He has 17+ years’ experience as a practicing primary care internist active in medical education and medical staff leadership. He is also brings expertise in hospital and medical group leadership; physician practice management; program and business development; employment and payer contract negotiations; strategic planning; case management; care coordination; utilization review; patient safety and quality; performance improvement; clinical informatics and decision support; and clinical database tool design and implementation. In 2012 he joined Wake Forest Baptist Health as Medical Director, Care Coordination and Utilization Management, and is currently an Associate Chief Medical Officer and represents the clinical leadership team in the areas of compliance, resource and care management.
Dr. Bromberg received his undergraduate degree from the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore MD, and his medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester NY. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Overlook Hospital in Summit NJ as a Clinical Fellow in the Department of Medicine at Columbia University, College of Physicians and Surgeons in NY. Throughout his career he has been active in the education of medical students and residents and is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
