Louis Posen is founder and President of Hopeless Records and has been named the “Paul Newman of Punk Rock” by Business Week for his commitment to social entrepreneurship. Hopeless Records has now become one of the largest independent record labels (by market share) in the world, has released albums for artists such as Avenged Sevenfold, All Time Low, The Used, Taking Back Sunday, Yellowcard, The Wonder Years, and Thrice, and has released over 200 albums with sales exceeding five million albums including 5 Billboard top 10 debuts in the past 2 years.
Sub City, the 501c3 non-profit arm of Hopeless, donates funds and raises awareness for various non-profit organizations by connecting artists, fans, and causes they are passionate about. Sub City has released over 40 albums, created and operates the annual Take Action Tour and has raised over two million dollars which has been donated to more than 50 non-profit organizations.
Louis has received awards from The 110th U.S. Congress, The City of Los Angeles, the Foundation Fighting Blindness, and A Place Called Home, amongst many others.
Louis is also a happy husband, proud father, a certified mediator, and a green belt in Krav Maga. Louis is also blind.
